So for a while now, I’ve been wanting to get my eyebrows micro bladed, and I am so happy I finally decided to do so!
What is microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure where hair-like incision strokes are created along the eyebrow to enhance, reshape or create a natural looking appearance on the brows.
Vanessa Hartmann did this procedure on me, she was patient and explained the process of what I need to do before, during, and after the appointment. Once I looked in the mirror, I was amazed by how perfect they were. It is definitely easier to wake up and not have to worry about penciling the missing parts in.
Vanessa charges $400 for the procedure and that includes the touch up 6 weeks after. Your brows will last up to 1-2 years after the procedure.
Once the procedure is finished, the first 3 days your brows will appear the darkest. Make sure you do not wet them, so be careful when washing your face and showering. Vanessa then provides an ointment that has to be applied twice daily (AM/PM). By the 5th day, your brows will begin to scab and flake off (DO NOT PICK). By day 7, you will be able to finally wet your brows. The ink will lighten and settle, and in 2 weeks your brows will appear the desired color.
