What You Seek Is Seeking You

When I was a little girl I used to always wonder why I was here, what am I meant to accomplish, what is my purpose? Some days I simply go with the flow and let life guide me naturally, and other times I want answers and reassurance. I realize that this life I am living is for God, but how do we know if we are serving God's purpose? Is this something we should ask ourselves, or is it something that is already instilled within our hearts and soul?

There is a quote I read from a book I bought a couple years ago. Once we realize that our purpose is for something far greater than what we could imagine, we will then truly see the real value and potential in all of us.

"You are not an accident. Your parents may not have planned you, but God did. He wanted you alive and created you for a purpose. Focusing on yourself will never reveal your purpose. You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense. Only in God do we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny."

- Rick Warren

Author of The Purpose Driven Life

Each day we are constantly learning and using our experiences to help us for tomorrow, next week, in a year but also for eternity. Days turn into nights, today becomes tomorrow, seasons change but so do we. We have evolved since birth. Infants to children to teenagers to adults, and we are constantly transforming into what we are meant to be. To live a purposeful life does not just mean to live a successful and happy life, although that is what we strive for, our true purpose will lead us to greater measures. There is a special gift locked inside each and every one of us. Seek and you will find.

If you are feeling lost or overwhelmed, I hope you dig down deeper into why you are here and trust your gut instinct.
