Hi guys! So KJ and I just got back from San Diego and we loved it. Below are our favorite breweries, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and things to do!
Tuesday:
AleSmith Brewery - First stop of our trip, had a couple flights of beer, super tasty.
Crack Shack - This place gets extremely busy during happy hour! I got the fried chicken salad.. it's called balance, okay? Haha
Kettner Exchange - Craft cocktails before dinner. Super cute rooftop deck, fun, hip vibe!
Barbusa - Our favorite dish was the Aragosta fra Diavolo!
Wednesday:
James Coffee - Pour over coffee, of course.
Carnitas Snack Shack - We got the fish tacos and carnitas tacos - yum!
USS Midway - We walked around this area to get to the Carnitas Snack Shack. Wish we were able to do the USS Midway Museum, but you can check it out here to purchase tickets!
Pacific Beach - Probably the most relaxing part of our trip, of course. We were running around all trip, so it's always nice to just lay out and enjoy some sun, sand and water.
Sunset Cliffs - great view for photos!
Polite Provisions - Gin cocktail + Bourbon cocktail. Great, busy place in North Park right before dinner!
Sushi Ota - Hole in the wall place, but.. the seafood is amazing!
Hamilton Tavern - This place was in walking distance from our airbnb. We stopped here after sushi for a beer, place was PACKED. Fun dive bar!
Thursday:
Bird Rock Coffee - Their pour overs are so amazing!
Luce Bar and Kitchen - LAMB TACOS. You'll thank me later.
Modern Times - Love, love, love their beer so much that we even brought some back to Las Vegas. YUM! Try the Druid Heights Stout.. has hints of pistachio and coconut.. we bought this one as well as some others!
Juniper and Ivy - This place is super hip and trendy. They mainly have small plates and shareable items, but also some main dishes. We just shared a bunch of their small plates to try a little bit of everything! Make a reservation!
Noble Experiment - Hidden gem. This place is inside "The Neighborhood" bar, and is tucked behind a secret door in the back. MAKE A RESERVATION. If you're into speakeasy bars, this place is a must!
Friday:
Communal Coffee - Oh, my. Try the lavender goat cheese toast.. yum! Adorable inside and out!
Bird Rock Surf Shop - Cute surf shop in La Jolla
Puesto - Taco shop in La Jolla - lobster tacos were good.
Pacific Beach (again) - KJ and I rode a bird scooter.. together. Definitely one of those moments I'll never forget.
Better Buzz - The coffee shops in San Diego are so cute, and this is another favorite in PB! Also, try the mint infused iced coffee!
Iron Pig - We came for the absolutely delicious wings...more please!
So many great places, but still so many more amazing spots to see next time!
